Patinter receives its environmental certification

The Portuguese carrier finalized its environmental certification process at the beginning of February 2019, when it received official validation from the Portuguese Certification Association (APCER). This entity awarded Patinter with ISO 14001: 2015 certification for the effectiveness of its Environmental Management System, which complies with national, Community and regulatory legislation.

Implementing eco-friendly and sustainable measures - such as the rationalization of energy consumption, efficient use of all resources or waste recycling/recovery - for over 15 years, Patinter developed an action plan to minimize the adverse effects of its activity, which is reflected in its rigorous Integrated Management System.

"Working in an environmentally-responsible manner is one of the company's main goals, coupled with a commitment to improve in the future. We are attentive to the launch of new technologies in the area of sustainability, namely relative to vehicles, and we pay special attention to the issue of reducing produced waste ", states a Patinter source.

APCER's opinion throughout the audit - which covered all areas of the company - was largely favourable and certifies Patinter's capacity within this sphere, as well as its concern regarding environmental awareness, both among employees, as well as partners and customers. Proof of this zealous attitude is Ecomove, a program highly geared towards sustainability through the training and sensitization of human resources, whose primary objective is to reduce energy consumption and, consequently, to minimize the company's ecological footprint.

This certification is added to the other company certifications within the scope of Quality and Occupational Health and Safety.
