Patinter receives international accreditation in preventing the transportation of illegal immigrants

The carrier Patinter has been recognized by Border Force South East for the implementation and enforcement of a system for preventing the entry of illegal immigrants. This accomplishment is recognized through an accreditation that validates the fulfillment of all essential security requirements for preventing the entry of illegal immigrants in company vehicles.

In the vicinity of the Port of Calais, France, the number of illegal migrants is significant and, despite the authorities' monitoring efforts, it is an area where this type of migration is very frequent and highly concentrated.

The illegal immigrants’ objective is to reach Dover, England, and they attempt illegal entry via carrier trucks. For Patinter drivers who average 6,000 journeys to England per year, the Effective System for Preventing the Entry of Illegal Immigrantsimplemented efficiently by the company, provides higher levels of security, not only for the cargo, but also for the driver.

Consequently, Patinter will be included in the list of European companies accredited by Border Force, as of November 1st, 2017, thus becoming exempt from the payment of fines even if the unauthorized entry of illegal immigrants into the border area is confirmed.

Joel Pinto, UK travel security consultant for the Patinter group, emphasizes that "this certification demonstrates our focus on safety and our concern for the merchandise of our customers. In addition to the reliability and recognition of our work, we are committed to improving and reinforcing the prevention plan in order to maintain accreditation.”
