PATINTER INVESTS ON TRAINING AND REDUCES THE NUMBER OF ACCIDENTS

In comparison with the first quarter of last year, Patinter reduced by 43% the rate of accidents on Portuguese roads. During the first three months of 2017, the carrier recorded 61 accidents, compared to 101 from last year, and none of them was considered severe.

A decrease was also recorded in terms of the damage caused to the goods being transported. "We recommend our drivers to check the kind of goods they’re carrying, so they can adopt the most appropriate driving style. By paying attention behind the wheel, driving should be perfectly safe” states Armando Leite, responsible for Patinter’s Insurance Department.

Regarding work accidents, results are equally positive. Between January and March of 2017, no serious incidents were recorded. "We invest in our staff’s training and raise awareness for things to look out for. As our goal is eliminating accidents, we’re quite persistent about the use of helmets and gloves”, concludes Armando Leite.
